India headed into the series finale against Sri Lanka with the series level at 1-1 after the visitors ended their losing streak by winning the second T20I in Pune. However, Sri Lankan bowlers were rendered useless after Suryakumar Yadav opened his shoulders. The mercurial batter left the fans in awe of his batting prowess after he sent the ball over the ropes while falling on the ground.

The home side put their foot on the accelerator after Rahul Tripathi played a spectacular cameo following Ishan Kishan's dismissal. However, it was Suryakuymar Yadav who stole the show with his breathtaking innings, featuring a plethora of mindboggling shots. The no. 1 T20I batter in the world left the spectators speechless after he swatted Sri Lankan pacer Dilshan Madushanka for an inexplicable maximum while falling on the ground.

The batting ace moved across the stumps preempting the shot, but the bowler tried to avoid his arc by bowling a wide full toss. Surya still managed to make decent contact with the ball, watching the ball sail over the ropes while on the floor. The batting sensation raced to his third century in the format, breaching the three-figure mark in just 45 deliveries as India breached 200 runs in the innings.

India finished with a mammoth score of 228 runs thanks to Suryakumar's scathing assault. He was supported valiantly by the inform Axar Patel, who had his fair share of fun, smashing 21 runs in just nine deliveries.
