India vs Sri Lanka 2023

Team India are scheduled to play Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI as well as the same number of T20I series starting on January 3. The multi format white-ball contests will help in the preparations for both the sides for the 2023 ODI World Cup and the 2024 T20 World Cup.The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has opted to spread out the games over six different locations in India.
The India vs Sri Lanka Schedule begins early on next year and concludes on January 15 with the final 50-over contest before heading to the New Zealand series. The Lankan Lions have an improved side and could give the Men in Blue a run for their money. On the other hand, India are reeling from massive losses to Bangladesh and New Zealand in their respective bilateral series. Therefore, the side will look to overcome their recent failures in the format and obtain results in their favour.
Speaking about their head-to-head records, India have a massive lead in the T20Is as they have won in 17 occasions in their 26 outings with Sri Lanka winning eight times and one yielding no result. In the 50-over contest of the game, the Lankan Lions are yet again at the negative end of the spectrum as they have only won 57 times to India’s total win of 93 matches in their 162 outings. Of all matches, 11 matches yielded no result and one ended as a draw as for the India vs Sri Lanka Stats in terms of head-to-head.
India skipper Rohit Sharma last played in a 50-over match in the second ODI against Bangladesh when he was injured during the course of the clash. He was then kept in the sidelines in the third and final ODI and is on course to recover for the Sri Lanka series.
