Suryakumar Yadav lit up Rajkot with a majestic knock of 112* runs off 51 balls in the third and final T20I against Sri Lanka. His innings helped India defeat the visitors by 91 runs and seal the three-match series 2-1. Clearly, Surya made the difference with his batting to leave Sri Lanka's bowlers clueless. His knock was laced with seven fours and nine sixes that led to India posting a whopping 228 runs in their 20 overs.

Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal's kind gesture towards his star teammate has gone viral on social media after the match. The leg-spinner was seen kissing Surya's hand soon after the Men in Blue sealed the third T20I against Sri Lanka. Chahal was also seen touching Surya's hands to his eyes and the cameras caught his act.

Surya hits his 3rd T20I ton

Suryakumar Yadav has been setting huge standards in T20 cricket with his batting. The champion cricketer smacked his third ton in T20Is on Saturday (January 7) while batting at four. His earlier tons came against England and New Zealand away from home last year. He has so far played 45 matches in T20Is amassing 1578 runs at an amazing strike-rate of 180.34 with 13 fifties and three centuries.

Coming back to the match, in response to India's 228, Sri Lanka's batters got off to impressive starts but the pressure of the required run-rate got to them. None of their batters could cross 23-run mark and they ended up scoring only 137 runs before getting bundled out.

Arshdeep Singh, after a horror show in the second T20I, made a stunning comeback picking up three wickets for just 20 runs. Skipper Hardik Pandya, Chahal and Umran Malik scalped two wickets each while Axar Patel picked up a scalp. India will now face Sri Lanka in the three-match ODI series starting from January 10 in Guwahati while the last two matches of the series will be played in Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram on January 12 and 15 respectively.
