Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh has become a household name after scripting history against Gujarat Titans (GT) by smashing five sixes in a row to single-handedly win a high-octane contest. Ahead of their next fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad, KKR took to their social media handle to share a rather hilarious video which involves 25-year-old Rinku.
KKR required 29 runs off the final over against the defending champions and Rinku got to his lethal best against Yash Dayal. The southpaw hammered five consecutive sixes off the final five balls to win it for KKR against GT. Relishing the impressive feat, KKR released a rib-tickling clip of the ‘three steps to become Rinku Singh’.
"He's the flavour of the season so far. He's just hit 6,6,6,6,6 in one over. SRK calls him his "Baccha". FUN TAKE: Here's your 3 simple steps to become 'RINKU SINGH'," captioned the two-time IPL winners while sharing the video on Twitter.
The clip begins with Step 1, wherein the southpaw drops a ‘Good Morning’ message to his skipper while inviting him for breakfast. Rinku then highlighted the importance of 'training' in Step 2, followed by pacer Shardul Thakur entering the scene and outlining the consistency in Rinku’s ‘Performance’ as the final step to becoming the 25-year-old cricketer.
KKR gear up for battle against SRH
Following the historic win against Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans, Nitish Rana and Co. are up against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the iconic Eden Gardens on Friday, April 14. In the eight games played at the venue, KKR have the massive upper hand with six wins to SRH’s two.
Speaking about the toss, Nitish Rana won it and elected to bowl first keeping the dew factor in mind. KKR are fielding the same XI as they played in the Gujarat fixture. While both sides are coming off wins from their previous games, it remains to be seen if Hyderabad are able to put a halt to high-flying KKR’s back-to-back victories.
