Chennai Super Kings clinch emphatic win over Sunrisers Hyderabad

Speaking of the game, Sunrisers Hyderabad came in to bat after losing the toss. Harry Brook and Abhishek Sharma looked to lay a strong foundation for their side top of the order. However, both batters failed to make an impact. Abhishek was the highest run-getter for Hyderabad, with 34 runs to his name.

Ravindra Jadeja was exceptional for the hosts in the first innings. Taking three wickets and conceding just 22 runs in the four overs he bowled. He was integral in limiting Hyderabad to a total of 134 after 20 overs. During the run chase, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway built on their good form.

Gaikwad amassed 35 runs in 30 deliveries, whereas Conway played an unbeaten knock of 77 runs in 57 balls. With stupendous knocks from the top order, Chennai managed to chase the target down with eight balls left as they won the game by seven wickets.

Following the game, the hosts stay on the third place in the IPL points table with eight points in six matches, whereas Hyderabad find themselves on the ninth slot with four points in six games. The Aiden Markram-led side would be keen on improving upon their performances in the upcoming matches.
