The 24th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 witnessed a hilarious moment of on-field banter between Rajasthan Royals' Riyan Parag and Kuldeep Sen. While the Gujarat Titans emerged victorious in a thrilling last-ball finish and won the game by three wickets, it was Parag's playful gesture during a DRS review that grabbed the attention of fans.
In the ninth over of the Gujarat Titans' run chase, Sai Sudharsan attempted a scoop shot that missed, leading to the ball hitting his pads. Kuldeep Sen immediately appealed, but the umpire remained unmoved. Skipper Sanju Samson promptly opted for a review.
As the replays were being examined, Parag, standing close to the pitch, unexpectedly blocked Sen's view of the screen, denying him the chance to witness the outcome of the review. Parag was heard saying, "Tu mat dekh, tu mat dekh" (You don't watch, you don't watch).

Despite the entertaining incident, the match itself was a closely fought affair. Chasing a challenging target of 197 runs, the Gujarat Titans struggled to maintain a steady run rate throughout their innings. Kuldeep Sen bowled exceptionally well in his first spell, claiming three crucial wickets and rattling the Titans' middle order.
Parag gave a stellar performance with the bat, scoring a blistering 76 off 48 deliveries, including three boundaries and five sixes. Parag's innings, coupled with a well-compiled 68 not out by skipper Samson, propelled the Royals to a formidable total.
GT's chase was coupled with some brilliant performances. Skipper Shubman Gill led from the front and made 72 runs off 44 balls. Sai Sudharsan also gave a solid start to the team by scoring 35 runs, and Rahul Tewatia made a quickfire 22 runs. However, it was the unbeaten 24 runs off just 11 balls by Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan that guided the visitors to a thrilling three-wicket victory, with a boundary on the final ball of the match. Rashid Khan had also picked up a wicket earlier in the match, and for his all-round performance, he was awarded the Player of the Match. This result handed the Rajasthan-based franchise their first defeat of the ongoing IPL season, while the Titans secured their third win in six matches.
