Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan celebrated his 8th wedding anniversary with his wife Safa Baig on Saturday, February 3. The 39-year-old took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to post a beautiful picture of the couple and showered praises on his wife.
He wrote a heartfelt note, calling her a constant companion, friend, mood booster, comedian, troublemaker, and mother to his children. Notably, the Player of the Match of the 2007 T20 World Cup final, Pathan tied the knot in 2016 and is blessed with two sons - Imran and Suleiman.

Pathan to feature for India in Asian Legends League
Pathan will be seen playing for India in the inaugural edition of the Asian Legends League. The tournament is slated to begin on March 13 and will continue till March 21. Speaking about the new tournament, Pathan mentioned that he is excited to play again as it brings back a lot of memories. He added that there’s a lot of thrill that’s attached to it as the fans also love the experience of witnessing the former cricketers play once again.
“It feels good to be playing on the field after being a commentator for so long. But our first love is always playing cricket. And playing in the Asian Legends League will surely bring back a lot of memories. I have played a lot of cricket against the other Icon players in this league. It gives you a different thrill. For the fans also, it will be a very thrilling experience. It's always fun to watch such league,” Pathan said.
Meanwhile, the Baroda-born cricketer also expects India to bounce back in the second Test against England. Pathan mentioned that he was ‘shocked’ to see the Rohit Sharma-led side lose the Hyderabad Test but expects a positive outcome in Visakhapatnam.
