The young minds of Srinagar scored big in the popular show ‘Shark Tank’. The spirit of the entrepreneurial duo made waves across the country after their unique pitch in the reality show. Srinagar-based ‘Trampoo Sports’ landed a lucrative deal worth Rs 30 lakh with two prominent investors.
College students pursuing BBA, Hamad and Saad Tramboo made their innovative pitch of Kashmir Willow bats and sought investment for a three percent equity stake from the sharks. It is worth noting that the bats are made of English and Kashmir willow, and their repertoire with the local supplies is their sure shot way to success in the Indian market.
“We offer world-class Kashmir willow bats, with the Kashmir Willow Act restricting the export of raw material, we’re poised for success in the domestic market. Are you ready to hit a six with us?” Saad Tramboo asked on the show.

The brothers revealed that they have been focusing on lightweight designs, boasting the only seasoning plant among Kashmir’s 300 bat manufacturers. Furthermore, they revealed that Instagram has been crucial in their road to success. They revealed that up to 70 percent of their online sales came from the social media platform.

The sharks began with Vineeta and Anupam jointly offering Rs 30 lakhs at 10% equity. Furthermore, Ritesh made the same offer for four percent. However, with investments, two unexpected sharks jumped onto the deal. After several rounds of intense negotiation, Peyush Bansal of Lenskart and Aman Gupta of BOAT emerged as the winning investors, agreeing to invest Rs 30 lakh for a four percent equity stake in Tramboo Sports.
