KL Rahul's residence gets decked up with lights ahead of wedding with Athiya Shetty

India cricketer KL Rahul is all set to tie knot with Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty on January 23 as per reports. Reportedly, it is going to be a three-day affair at actor Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala, Mumbai. When it comes to the preparation part of it, Rahul’s residence in Mumbai looks fully wedding-ready.

In one of the videos shared by the paparazzi, white lights could be seen hanging all over the place and few of the staff were seen taking care of the various aspects of decoration. Reports also claim that the celebration will kickstart on January 21 with the bride hosting a ladies’ night with a few of her closest friends, which includes actress Akansha Ranjan.

The Sangeet ceremony will be taking place on the following day. Athiya’s parents Suniel Shetty and Maya Shetty along with brother Ahan Shetty are expected to perform on the night. 

“It is an extremely close-knit family affair. Only friends and family members will be a part of the wedding. It’s most likely that you may not see many industry peeps,” a source close to the Shetty family told Hindustan Times.

Meanwhile, the power couple is dating each other for quite some years now. It is know for all that Athiya along with his father has been spotted multiple times in various matches KL was playing while the Indian international was spotted attending the premiere of Athiya's brother Ahan's debut film Tadap.

Notably, Athiya made her acting debut in the romantic action film Hero in 2015. Following that, she acted in the film Mubarakan, which got released in 2017 and Motichoor Chaknachoor in 2019.

The 30-year-old on the other hand has been exempted from his duties by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and hence won’t be seen in action during the ongoing white-ball series against New Zealand.
