Legends League Cricket has announced Star Sports as their official broadcaster for the upcoming second season of the tournament. The tournament kicks off on September 16, 2022, at the Eden Gardens where India Capitals will lock horns against Gujarat Giants. While the Capitals will be led by Gautam Gambhir, Giants will be led by Virender Sehwag.

The LLC campaign opener will see two of India's most dangerous openers competing against one another. As some of the top T20 professionals in the field, like Chris Gayle, Harbhajan Singh, Mitchell Johnson, Sehwag, Shane Watson, and Muttiah Muralitharan, are taking part in the tournament, the fans will have the chance to see enthralling matches.

LLC took to their official Twitter handle to make the announcement as they welcomed Star Sports on board. All the games will not be telecasted on Star Sports.

Legendary players will be in action at LLC

In contrast to the first edition, the second edition of LLC has four new franchise-based teams, and throughout the 12-match league round, they will face off twice. There will be 4 days of rest in between each game for the teams.

At the end of the league stage, the sides that finish in the top two places will compete in the qualifier on October 2 at Jodhpur's Barkatullah Khan Stadium, with the winning side moving directly to the championship game on October 5. The losing side in the qualifier will, however, have a second chance as they will face off against the third-placed team, in the league stage, on October 3 in an effort to secure a spot in the summit clash.

Six locations in India will host the competition. This season's four teams are Gujarat Giants, India Capitals, Bhilwara Kings, and Manipal Tigers. The Bhilwara Kings will be headed by all-rounder Irfan Pathan, while the Manipal Tigers will be captained by Harbhajan Singh, while the Giants and Capitals will be led by Sehwag and Gambhir respectively.
