Match 21 of IPL 2024 witnessed the Lucknow Super Giants triumphing over the Gujarat Titans for the very first time in the history of the IPL. Meaningful knocks from Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, and Ayush Badoni took LSG to 163/5 in their 20 overs. Post that, Yash Thakur, playing his 12th IPL game, starred with impressive figures of 3.5-1-30-5 to overcome the visitors by a margin of 33 runs, in a match where the opposition could never get used to the pace of the pitch with the bat in hand.

The win against GT was LSG's third on the trot this season, bringing them to the third position on the points table.

In a rib-tickling post which LSG put out on social media after the skilful win, Shubham Gaur, a social media content creator, who has been seen interacting and making amusing posts with the players of LSG since the past month or so, once again featured, this time with their skipper, KL Rahul.

The video starts off with Gaur congratulating Rahul, who was wearing the LSG cap and sipping water from a yellow-coloured bottle while sitting on a bench, for the win, to which Rahul thanks Gaur. Further, Gaur suggests that Rahul should be the next Defence Minister of India. However, the LSG skipper construes it as his strike rate being made fun of. Gaur promptly replied to Rahul's comment, denying the latter's allegations and saying that his suggestion stemmed from the fact that it was LSG's 13th victory in their IPL journey so far, wherein they managed to come out on top after scoring 160 or more in the first innings.

Incidentally, after the LSG skipper's 31-ball 33-run knock against GT, he became the first batter to surpass the 1000-run milestone for the franchise in their almost-three-year history, having a tally of 1016 runs so far.
