Both teams are evenly matched and France are also two-time world champions, having won the tournament in 1998 and in 2018. Argentina won the event back in 1978 and 1986. France defeated Croatia in the finals of 2018. They looked unstoppable in the semi-finals against Morocco as they won the contest by a 2-0 scoreline.
On the other hand, Argentina defeated last-time runners-up Croatia by a convincing scoreline of 3-0. Meanwhile, Croatia led by Luka Modrić defeated Morocco by 2-1 in the third-place playoff. Morocco, the African nation were phenomenal throughout the campaign as they became the first African country to qualify for the semis of the World Cup.
As far as the final is concerned, fans from across the world are rooting for Argentina more as they want Lionel Messi to win it for his nation and immortalise his legacy.
