In a heated showdown during a recent Legends League Cricket match, former Indian cricketers Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth found themselves at the center of attention. The clash occurred during the face-off between Gujarat Giants and India Capitals, where Sreesanth, representing Giants, faced off against Gambhir's India Capitals. It all boiled down to a tense moment in the second over of the match when Sreesanth, after being hit for a six and a four, engaged in a prolonged stare-down with Gambhir.

This intense exchange didn't sit well with either player. The former India opener responded with an equally unwavering gaze towards the fiery pacer and responded verbally. Following the match, the Kerala pacer took to Instagram to express his disappointment with the Delhi batter's conduct. Although Gambhir didn't directly engage in a rebuttal, he shared a cryptic post on social media, hinting at the need to maintain a smile despite the attention. “Smile when the world is all about attention!,” Gambhir wrote in his post on 'X'.

Here's Gambhir's latest post on 'X':

The southpaw, showcasing his cricketing prowess, contributed significantly to India Capitals' success by scoring a remarkable 51 off just 30 balls. His performance helped set a challenging total of 223/7 in 20 overs. Despite Sreesanth's efforts for the Giants, bagging 1/35 in 3 overs with an economy of 11.70, their team fell short, managing 211 for 7 in 20 overs, leading to a 12-run loss.

Sreesanth vows to reveal details of spat soon

However, the focus swiftly shifted from the game's outcome to the on-field spat between the two former Indian cricket stars. Sreesanth openly criticized Gambhir, labeling him 'Mr. Fighter' and accusing him of needlessly picking fights without any provocation.

"Just wanted to clear the air with what happened with Mr. Fighter. One who always fights with all his colleagues. For no reason whatsoever. He does not even respect his senior players, including Viru Bhai. That's exactly what happened today. Without any provocation, he just kept on calling me something which was very rude which shouldn't have been said by Mr. Gautam Gambhir," Sreesanth said in a video posted on his Instagram handle.

However, later, Sreesanth revealed what Gambhir actually said to him during the spat.
