Indian team’s new T20I skipper, Suryakumar Yadav had a makeover from renowned hairstylist Aalim Hakim in Mumbai. After Rohit Sharma retired from the T20Is, Suryakumar was named as the new captain in the shortest format. He excelled in his debut series against Sri Lanka, winning it by 3-0. After the conclusion of the tour, Mr 360 visited the celebrity hairstylist and opted for a makeover.
Recently, the 33-year-old became fodder for social media for all the right reasons as his historic catch of David Miller in the T20 World Cup final almost sealed the deal for the team. The right-handed batter was ignored for the ODI series against the Lankan Lions as the likes of Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Riyan Parag were the preferred choices of selectors. It is worth noting that Yadav pipped Hardik Pandya to become the skipper as the latter was the vice-captain of the team during the T20 World Cup 2024.
Here’s Suryakumar’s latest post on Instagram:
India lose ODI series to Sri Lanka after 27 years

They managed to tie the first ODI and lost the subsequent ones in a submissive manner while chasing average totals on both occasions. As a result, Sri Lanka won an ODI series against India for the first time since 1997 and Rohit became only the third Indian captain to lose an ODI series against their Asian counterparts.

One glaring aspect which was heavily criticized by the fans and pundits alike was India’s batting order. Three different batters batted at the crucial number four position in as many games and the spot was cheekily termed a revolving door by some. Moreover, Rahul who is touted as the designated middle-order batter, batted at number six and seven in two games he was featured in.
