However, it was after this stage that the Proteas began picking momentum as David Miller slowly started to construct a match-winning knock. The experienced lad displayed his skills by slamming a few to the stands and kept rotating strike.

Miller scored 59 runs off 46 deliveries with three sixes and four fours to his name in the innings. Adding to this, Aiden Markram too played a crucial knock as he stood firm at the crease, scoring a vital 52 off 41 balls. The win for the side was much required as it further strengthens their case of finishing in the top-four.

On the other hand, India are still on course to seal their spot in the final four. While India fought hard for the match, Miller’s calmness helped the Proteas earn two points from this fixture.
