Team India has reached Brisbane, where they will face Australia in their first official warm-up match of the T20 World Cup 2022. All the Indian players are grinding hard in the practice sessions with the skipper Rohit Sharma leading by example.

Meanwhile, Rohit made the day special for 11-year-old Drushil Sharma, inviting him into the nets. The Indian skipper saw Drushil bowling and called him into the Indian team's dressing room and asked him to bowl to him in the nets.

In a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the 11-year-old told that he is a left-arm seamer as he shared his experience of meeting the Indian skipper. Rohit asked Drushil if he would want to travel to India and play for the national team. To which, the 11-year-old replied that he wants to become a professional cricketer one day and said that he does not know when he will get to travel to India.

Rohit Sharma saw me and he told me to bowl," Drushil said.

"We arrived at the WACA for our afternoon practice session and the kids were wrapping up their morning event. As soon as we entered out dressing room, we saw 100-odd kids playing and enjoying cricket. There was one young kid who caught everyone's eye and Rohit was the first one to identify the kid," India team analyst Hari Prasad Mohan said in a video.

"After watching 2-3 balls that the kid bowled, everyone was impressed by his smooth run-up and how naturally talented the kid was. Rohit immediately went out of the dressing room and called the kid to bowl a few more balls," he further added.
