Ryan Burl took a stunning catch in the final game of the T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 Stages between India and Zimbabwe to dismiss the dangerous batter, Rishabh Pant. India made one change for their final game by including Pant in place of Dinesh Karthik for the Zimbabwe encounter. The left-hander came into bat at number five at the fall of KL Rahul’s wicket in the 13th over but could add just three runs to India’s tally.

Sean Williams who bowled the 14th over of the innings pitched it up right in front of the batter's eyes and Pant went for the big heave on the leg side, his much-favoured area. Burl who was standing at the long on position had to cover a long distance and for the major part, the ball looked like racing onto the boundary.

However, Burl went flying in the air to pull off a stunning catch near the boundary ropes and the fascinating part was his dive was timed perfectly. He managed to take control of the ball despite being off balance and the difficulty of the catch was quite high. A lot of times, the fielders have been unlucky as they put on the dive to get to the ball but end up popping the ball with their elbows hitting the ground.

It wasn’t the case with Burl who kept his eyes on the ball throughout the incident and defied the laws of gravity to complete the remarkable catch. The bowler, the fielders and the commentators on air were stunned with the catch pulled off by Burl and no wonder, he had some pumped-up celebrations post that.

Meanwhile, despite Pant’s early exit, India reached a massive total of 186 for 5 in their 20 overs with Suryakumar Yadav playing a blistering knock of unbeaten 61 off 25 balls. KL Rahul was another batter who got going and scored a half-century at the top to start off the innings for India.
