After a brilliant over with the bowl in the very first over, Taskin Ahmed was very close to dismissing Rohit Sharma in his second over of the match against India in the T20 World Cup 2022, but unfortunately, Hasan Mahmud made an error in judgement and dropped a dolly at fine leg. Seeing that, the 27-year-old was absolutely furious and didn’t back from shouting it out on the field.

Rohit, who was batting at 1, took a single on the delivery but couldn’t really make the most of the life he got as the Indian captain was dismissed in the very next over by Hasan Mahmud. Playing over the point, Rohit mistimed his shot and gave an easy catch to Yasir Ali. With that, India once again lost an early wicket in the powerplay.

Meanwhile, even after a poor start with the bat, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli managed to help India get going in the powerplay. The Men in Blue put 37 on board in the first six overs as KL Rahul got back in form after struggling in the last three matches of the T20 World Cup.

On the other hand Kohli became the leading run-scorer of T20 World Cup as the former India captain urpassed Mahela Jayawardene. Kohli was the Man of the Tournament in the 2014 and 2016 editions of the tournament but never managed to hold the trophy in his hands.

However, with a win over Bangladesh, team India can get closer to the semi-finals spot and thus, Kohli and India can have another shot at the prestigious trophy. He currently is on song with more than 180 runs so far in the tournament and is India’s leading run-scorer in the multi-nation tournament. Meanwhile, India have defeared Pakistan and the Netherlands in the tournament so far while have lost to South Africa.
