Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Tushar Deshpande got engaged to his school crush Nabha Gaddamwar in a grand ceremony in Mumbai on Monday, June 12. The 28-year-old pacer came to the limelight right in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season opener, becoming the tournament's first Impact Player substitution.

Deshpande got engaged just days after his CSK teammate Ruturaj Gaikwad tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend Utkarsha Pawar. Notably, Utkarsha is also a Mumbai-based cricketer who plays as an all-rounder.

Talking about CSK pacer, he took to Instagram to share some stunning pictures from his special day. The couple was photographed with their rings and also posed with a red cricket ball.

"She got promoted from my school crush to MY FIANCE!," the CSK pacer captioned the post.

Deshpande's CSK teammate and star batter Shivam Dube also attended the engagement ceremony and posted a photo with the couple on his Instagram story. Meanwhile, Gaikwad congratulated the couple on the new beginning and commented on the post, "Congratulations bhauuuuuuu Welcome to the clubbbb @tushardeshpande96." Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Suryakumar Yadav, CSK players Simarjeet Singh and Deepak Chahar also commented and congratulated the couple.

Deshpande was one of the standout performers for the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side in the 16th edition of the IPL. He finished the season as CSK's leading wicket-taker and was sixth in the IPL 2023 Purple Cap list. He picked up 21 wickets in 16 matches at an average of 26.85 and an economy rate of 9.92.

In addition, he underperformed in CSK's summit clash against Gujarat Titans (GT), which helped the Hardik Pandya-led side to post a mammoth 214 in 20 overs. The 28-year-old gave away 56 runs in his four-over spell without grabbing a wicket and had an economy rate of 14.00. However, CSK won the match by five wickets using the DLS method.
