Flamboyant India batter Virat Kohli shared a ‘nostalgic’ post on social media ahead of the second Test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After a dominant start to the series by taking a lead of 1-0, India will lock horns with the Aussies in the second Test scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Friday, February 17.

The two sides have begun preparations for the crucial red-ball clash and will look for results in their favour when they take the field on Friday. Leading to the Test in Delhi, Virat Kohli, who is a local boy, took to his Instagram handle to share a story after getting nostalgic as he reached his home place.

“A long drive towards the stadium in Delhi after ages. Such a nostalgic feeling,” wrote Kohli on his IG story.

India on the cusp of sealing WTC Final berth

Following the massive win in the first red-ball clash, team India are cruising for a spot in the World Test Championship final. While the excitement is palpable courtesy of the 1-0 lead in the crucial Test series, Rohit Sharma and Co. will need to keep the momentum on their side and look to extend their lead.

Meanwhile, the Aussies too are in contention for a place in the summit clash of the global ICC event. However, their dominant run after massive wins against West Indies and South Africa came to a screeching halt when team India defeated them in the first Test at Nagpur.

While there is still a lot worth fighting for, the two cricketing powerhouses will undoubtedly push each other to their limits in the forthcoming clash. The visitors' wait for a place in the World Test Championship final continues and the chances could be further dented assuming they hand another victory to the home side. It remains to be seen what transpires when the two sides cross swords at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Friday.
