India Women's seamer Kranti Gaud was seen facing misogynistic abuse and heckling during the clash between India and Pakistan in the 2026 Women's Asia Cup on Saturday, September 5, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Gaud, who was fielding at deep backward square leg, was subject to heckling from Pakistan fans at the venue, calling her a 'man' and accusing the Indian team of fielding a man in a women's game. A clip of the incident has been doing the rounds on social media and has been the subject of much discourse after the result of the game.

India completed a dominant seven-wicket victory over their neighbours, with the highlight of their result being their bowling display. Pakistan were bundled out for just 55, with the Indian spinners sharing nine wickets amongst them, along with a run-out. The Indian side made light work of the chase, reaching home in just 8.4 overs to extend their unbeaten start to the tournament. Left-arm spinner N Shree Charani was adjudged Player of the Match and was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 7 from four overs.
With their victory, India have topped Group A with six points and have become the first team to qualify for the semi-final round. They await the results from Group B to know who they will be facing in their semi-final clash on September 10 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
