Indian top-order batter, Shubman Gill, was recently spotted sweating it out in the gym ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh, which is slated to begin on September 19, 2024. The Board of Control for Cricket in India recently released the 16-member squad for the first Test in which Gill was but obviously a part.

Coming off a loss as skipper of India A in the first round of the Duleep Trophy, it seemed as if Gill was wanting to channelise his disappointment positively while engaging in some strenuous workout regimes, which saw him working out his core, shoulders and legs with a couple of personalised gym trainers.

Gill appeared ever-ready to take his fitness game to the next level by engaging himself in high-intensity sessions in the state-of-the-art gym. Focusing on his agility, he was also seen performing a set of plyometric exercises, with him going through the regime in a manner as nonchalant as his graceful drives.

The 25-year-old, who celebrated his birthday four days back, will be looking to leverage the series against Bangladesh followed by New Zealand to hone his batting skills for the Border-Gavaskar series later in the year.

Only a week back, Gill had very openly admitted that he had not reached his expectations when it came to him as  a Test player. The five home Tests will serve as the perfect preparation for Gill as he would want to display his mettle in the big-money series Down Under, which would prove his technical adeptness to all sorts of conditions.
