Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma visited the popular Hanumangarh Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter prepares himself for the high-stakes IPL 2025 Playoffs, starting next week. The power couple was spotted offering their prayers while one of the officials of the temple was guiding them. The duo was welcomed with a garland and priests at the temple were seen giving them the blessings. The duo took the blessings at the holy temple before leaving from the city.

Sanjay Das Ji Maharaj, Mahant Hanuman Garhi, spoke about Virat and Anushka's love for god, culture, and spirituality. The popular sage claimed that the star couple visited Ram Mandir, which was inaugurated in early 2024, when Virat and Anushka were expecting the birth of the baby boy, Akaay. Sanjay Das claimed that Virat and Anushka discussed spirituality & mythology.

"Kohli & Anushka have a deep love for spirituality, culture, God, and Sanatana Dharma. They visited Lord Ram Lalla & then took blessings from Lord Hanuman - They also discussed spirituality & mythological things here," said Maharaj as quoted by India Times.

Virat Kohli's performance in the IPL 2025

Virat and Anushka visited the temple just a few days before the start of the Playoffs of the IPL 2025. The duo has a tradition of visiting major temples frequently and doing it before the big tournaments. The 36-year-old recently retired from Tests, but is an active player in the IPL and in ODIs as a key member of RCB and the Indian team as well.

In the 18th edition of the league, Kohli has been one of the best batters. In 12 innings, the right-handed batter has 548 runs at an average of 60.88, at a strike rate of 145.35, including a total of seven fifty-plus scores. Kohli has smashed 51 fours and 19 sixes in the IPL 2025 so far, which has made him one of the strongest contenders for the Orange Cap as well.

In his previous match against SRH at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, Virat scored 43 off 25 balls, which included 7 fours and a six, while chasing a target of 232. Both Virat and RCB will play their final league stage match of the season against LSG at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, which will decide their opponents in the Playoffs, as one of Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians, and Punjab Kings will be facing them.
