Former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik flaunted a photo of his gym session on the social media platform Instagram recently. The right-handed batter also wrote a powerful caption for the picture as he looks as young and dashing as ever.

To note, Malik is not part of Pakistan's squad for the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. Malik also expressed his disappointment after not being named in the team as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) gave chance to the likes of Shan Masood, Haider Ali, and Khushdil Shah to play in the middle-order.

When quitting is not an option: Malik wrote in his Instagram post

Malik recently opened up about his snub from the Pakistani side as he said that his job is to play cricket and stay positive. The veteran batter also said that he is in touch with the current Pakistani skipper Babar Azam.

“My job is to play cricket whenever I get the opportunity. It’s team management’s call to pick me up or not. Whenever I get a chance, I will try to make the best out of it," said Malik.

Speaking on his relationship with Babar, he said, “We have been in touch consistently. Yes, earlier we used to talk more, but now he is a skipper and one should give him that space.

Meanwhile, Team Pakistan begin their campaign at the T20 World Cup on October 23 in the highly anticipated match against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The Men in Green recently lost against England in their warm-up game which they played on October 17 (Monday).
