'Sorry you are talking so much nonsense' - Kevin Pietersen roasts Ahmed Shehzad in live Instagram interview

Kevin Pietersen, the former England cricketer is quite a vocal sports personality, who never backs down in voicing his opinion on a particular topic. At the moment, when every cricketer is having a good family time at their homes in lockdown, Pietersen is busy in taking live interviews on Instagram. Recently, he came live with Ahmed Shehzad and he used some strong statements while talking to the Pakistani international.

Ahmad Shehzad, the right-handed batsman is having a tough time in cricket. He recently played for Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020. And, he failed miserably, batting at number three position. The 28-year-old ended up scoring only 61 runs off seven games. Kevin Pietersen was not happy with the performances of his former Gladiator teammate and he questioned Shehzad over the same.

Shehzad was not comfortable while batting at three

In the live Instagram session, Kevin Pietersen asked Shehzad that why he failed to perform well in PSL 2020. In return, the 28-year-old replied in a pleasant way saying that he tried his best but it wasn’t his season. The former England cricketer got upset with the answer and asked Shehzad to give a proper answer. Pietersen also said that he is not a journalist but a friend.

Shehzad then opened up and said that he was not comfortable batting at number three. However, he didn’t complain to the team management. Kevin Pietersen took it as an excuse from the Pakistani player. So he said, “you don’t want to bat 1, 2 or 3. You can’t bat 4 or 5, you go bat at No. 13 for the Quetta Gladiators next season. You won’t even bat 13 for the first team, you can bat at that position only for the third team.”

In a furious interaction, there was a section when Pietersen asked Shehzad that what he was doing in the northern part of the Lahore. Giving an answer to that question, the 28-year-old said that he was there for the quarantine period. Even, Kevin Pietersen threw light on his time with Ahmed Shehzad while playing for Quetta Gladiators.

The former player said he is talking so much nonsense like he used to do in the dressing room, “Sorry you’re talking so much nonsense, it goes in one ear and out the other ear. Same as when you were in the dressing room. You talk so much nonsense you don’t know when to listen to you. You ramble too much,” said the Englishman.
