Sourav Ganguly notes the factors that contributed to MS Dhoni and CSK's success

After winning the IPL for the third time with CSK, Dhoni proved to the world that he still has a lot to offer as a player as well with his leadership. Dhoni has been criticized for his recent run in shorter formats of the game. The Super Kings thrashed the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday to become the most successful franchise in the history of the IPL. The environment in the franchise is excellent and so robust that the team has made it to the playoffs in all the nine seasons they’ve been a part of the league. Dhoni has been smart in leading his boys and his tactics were instrumental in getting the positive results for the franchise.

CSK will remain Dhoni’s team forever

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly is impressed with how Dhoni turned up this time and praised him afterCSKwent all the way in the IPL 11.

“Dhoni looked extremely relaxed in this IPL. In a scenario which is already well-known to him, the fact that the franchise backed him helped the team,” Ganguly told a Bengali Daily.

The veteran seemed to have put in a lot of effort as he looked much fitter this season. Dada also added that Dhoni felt wanted in the CSK changing room which motivated him to deliver at his best.

Dhoni was stripped off his captaincy role last season when he was with the Rising Pune Supergiant. He played only as a wicketkeeper-batsman and did not make a big impact to the team’s fortunes. After the return of CSK, Dhoni is back home and has repaid the faith of the team management as well as the fans.
