Sourav Ganguly picks one Indian cricketer who has an ability to become an exceptional actor

Virat Kohli is one of the prominent cricketers going around in the World cricket courtesy of his on-field heroics. He is also the face of as many as 17 brands including the likes of  Gionee phones, Puma sportswear, Audi luxury cars and MRF Tyres among many others. He looks pretty cool in front of the cameras while shooting for the ads as well and is not afraid of delivering catchy dialogues. This might be the reason that the former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly feels that Kohli can make for an exceptional actor.

The Indian skipper is one of the fittest cricketer going around in the current generation of the cricketers and no wonder he is scaling the heights in his career. He has revolutionised the Indian cricket in terms of fitness and has made it mandatory for everyone to clear the tough yo-yo fitness test in order to make it to the national side. His fitness is his major priority and never compromises with it which is evident in his performances on the field.

Ganguly picks a few more interesting names

According to the reports in Economic Times, Sourav Ganguly tipped the name of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli when he was asked if any cricketer from the current crop would be up to make it to the big screen. “Oh, many,” he replied in excitement while picking the names of Kohli along with Yuvraj Singh and Hardik Pandya. While the prospect of Kohli playing a role of a hero in ant Bollywood film is thrilling, it seems unlikely that he would opt for the same as of now.

There have been a few cricketers who have made it to the Film industry after hanging their boots. The increasing biopics on the sportsmen might urge the filmmakers to approach the cricketers in the future as well in order to attract the spectators to the theatre.
