Sri Lanka have had an impressive outing in the ongoing Road Safety World Series in Raipur. On Saturday, March 6, the team, captained by TM Dilshan, got past Brian Lara’s West Indies Legends by five wickets. The skipper and Upul Tharanga scored heavily to help their team chase down 158. However, they would be looking to work on their bowling their bowlers got only two wickets.

In their next game, the Lankans would be facing South Africa Legends on Monday, March 8 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Stadium. Back in 2020, the Proteas played a solitary game against the Caribbean team and won by six wickets. This year, they have a different squad and would be hoping to continue their winning run. Beating Sri Lanka won’t be a cakewalk by any means.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch in Raipur has been a belter thus far. Run-making isn’t expected to be a tough task for the batters. And the track isn’t expected to change much during the course of the game and therefore, batting second should be the way forward. The temperature will be around the 31-degrees Celsius mark.
