After a one-sided Test series, Bangladesh would look to hit back at South Africa in their strongest format, ODI cricket. Irrespective of strengths and weakness of either side, the individuals could be seen reaching some new milestones in their careers during this 3-match ODI series.

Here we look at all the approaching milestones ahead of the series.

44 – Number of wickets Mustafizur Rahman has picked up in ODIs so far. He needs six more to complete 50 wickets in ODIs. If he completes the milestone in the next ODI, he will be the joint 2nd fastest and the joint 3rd fastest if he takes two matches for the next six wickets.

93 – Rubel Hosan has picked up 93 wickets in his ODI career so far. He needs seven more wickets to become the 5th Bangladesh player to bag 100 ODI wickets.

94 – Number of wickets Wayne Parnell has taken in his ODI career so far. Parnell needs six more wickets to become the 12th South African to take 100 ODI wickets. He will be the 4th fastest to 100 ODI wickets among South Africans if he completes the milestone in the next two ODIs.

98 – Number of sixes Mashrafe Mortaza has hit in International cricket. He needs two more sixes to become the 3rd Bangladesh player to complete 100 International sixes after Tamim Iqbal (134) and Mushfiqur Rahim (103).

99 – David Miller has played 99 ODI games in his career so far. The first match he will be playing in the series will be his 100th ODI game with which he will be the 22nd South African with 100 ODI appearances.

99Faf du Plessis has hit 99 sixes in International cricket for South Africa. He needs one more six to become the 7th player to hit 100 International sixes for South Africa. Du Plessis has hit a total of 102 International sixes with three of them coming for World XI in the recent series against Pakistan.

959 – Runs Soumya Sarkar has scored in ODI cricket so far. He needs 41 more runs to complete 1000 ODI runs. If Sarkar reaches the milestone in the next three innings, he will be the 2nd fastest Bangladesh player to reach the milestone.

4983 – Shakib Al Hasan has scored 4983 runs in his ODI career so far. He needs 17 more runs to become the 2nd Bangladesh player to aggregate 5000 ODI runs.
