The third Test match between South Africa and Australia is nicely set up after the home side was bundled out for 311 runs on the second day. A lot has happened during the series already between the players and the action in the middle during the ongoing game is heating up once again. Australian batsmen are surely feeling the heat as South African players were all over them with the crowd behind the players. During one of those moments, David Warner was given a send-off by a South African fan after being dismissed by Kagiso Rabada.
Rabada’s ban was overturned dramatically just before the commencement of the third Test of the four-match series as the home side had appealed the decision of the Match Referee Jeff Crowe. The bowler was accused of rubbing the shoulders of Steve Smith aggressively after dismissing him during the first innings of the second Test match in Port Elizabeth.
Warner castled by Rabada
Australia came out with a clear plan against the best bowler of South Africa as David Warner launched an assault on him accumulating 24 runs off his 2.1 overs. Their intentions of throwing the bowler away from his lines was clear but the youngster had nerves of steel as he came back with a stunning delivery to castle the top of off-stump of the left-hander. While there were no extraordinary celebrations from the bowler, Warner was shocked with the delivery and received the send-off from the fan on his way back to dressing room.
One of the fans in the stand was seen clapping while saying something to Warner which clearly didn’t amuse the batsman. He stopped on his way as the banter started only for the security official to intervene. Though both of them were saying something or the other until the Australian reached his dressing room. It is not yet clear that what was actually said to Warner, but the things are surely heating up in Cape Town with the hosts looking to skittle the visitors quickly.
