Preview for Dream11 Fantasy

With the One-day series done and dusted, the caravan of the England tour of South Africa moves to its T20I leg and the first game will be played on Wednesday in East London. This series will serve as a perfect opportunity for both sides as they aim to zero-in on an ideal combination for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.

South Africa, under the leadership of Quinton de Kock, has drawn the past two white-ball series- T20Is vs India and ODIs against England- and will be looking for an elusive series win. While Faf du Plessis and Kagiso Rabada continue to be rested, the Proteas will welcome back Dale Steyn into their set-up who comes to the side on the back of impressive performances in the MSL and BBL.

It will not be an easy task though against a power-packed English side who will be bolstered by the addition of Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, and Mark Wood- all of whom were rested in the recently concluded ODI series, making the visitors prime favourites leading into the rubber.

Weather Condition/Report

It is expected to be an overcast day in East London on Wednesday. According to the weather report, the sun and clouds are expected to play hide and seek throughout the day. While the temperature is set to hover between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius, the humidity is set to be around 68%.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The pitch at the Buffalo Park is expected to be a decent one for the batsmen. A total around 170 might turn out to be a par-score even as the team winning the toss might look to field first. In the three matches played at the venue, chasing side has won twice.

Average first innings score: 155 (In three matches played at the venue)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 2; Lost – 1

Top Picks

South Africa: Quinton de Kock will once again hold the key for the hosts as far as giving a good start with the bat is concerned. Apart from de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, who is the leading run-scorer- 280 runs in 8 games at 35- for South Africa in T20I cricket since the start of 2019, Rassie van der Dussen [185 runs in 7 games at 30.83] along with David Miller will be the ones to watch out for.

Dale Steyn was in brilliant form in the Mzansi Super League and BBL. He will once again lead the fast bowling attack. Beuran Hendricks has claimed 10 wickets at 9.80 since January 2019 while Tabraiz Shamsi will lead the spin-bowling department. These players can be picked in Dream11 Fantasy team.

England: England will once again bank on the likes of Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Eoin Morgan and Dawid Malan, who stroked a whirlwind hundred against the Kiwis back in November. Adil Rashid made a brilliant comeback to the English set-up in the ODI series and he might pip Matthew Parkinson in the first T20I.
