Team South Africa continued their domination at home with an emphatic win over India in the Cape Town Test. All was not well for them in the game after they bundled out cheaply in the second innings. Moreover, the injury of Dale Steyn left them paralyzed in the game. But fiery bowling from Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander were enough to win them the game.

Philander was the pick of the bowlers with a six-wicket haul. The contributions made by Kagiso Rabada and Morkel cannot be ignore either. And now, with Dale Steyn ruled out of the remainder of the series, the team will have to decide on who takes the new ball with Morne Morkel. Well, the young recruit Kagiso Rabada recently expressed his desire to take the new ball for the team.

However, he is ready to wait for his chances. He mentioned that the South African bowling is very skilled. He is not getting his due with the new ball since there are seasoned veterans in the side who have been doing the task pretty well in the recent times.

“Our bowling attack is very skilled, as we have seen in the past and in the last game. It feels great to be playing alongside these veterans. I just bowl wherever the team wants me to bowl, but obviously I would like to open. It is very tough at the moment, though, because there are two very good bowlers doing that. I just like to do whatever the team requires me to do and set my own aspirations aside,” Rabada was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.

Striving for perfection

Speaking further on the same note, Kagiso Rabada remarked that he actually has no idea about how quick he can get. The struggle of the Indian batsmen against his pace was certainly evident. The youngster remarked that he wishes to get perfection and believes that there is always room for improvement. He knows nobody can attain perfection but still, strives for it.

“I don’t know how fast I can get. Sometimes I don’t think the speed gun is telling the truth to be honest. I can feel when I’m bowling quick and when I’m not. I need to do more, I am always striving for perfection, even though you will never reach it. There is always something else you can work on and that is what I have done in my career so far. There is always a problem!” he conceded.
