India is under a 21-day lockdown at the moment amid the outbreak of the Coronavirus. All the state governments are doing their best to contain the transmission of the deadly virus even the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is time and again addressing the nation. On Friday, while speaking to the citizens of the country, he urged everyone to switch off the lights in their home at 9 PM and light diyas, mobile torch or candle to express solidarity with the health warriors for nine minutes.

These are the tough times for the nation and this is time when everyone needs to stand together. This is what the top Indian cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have cited in their recent tweets. The duo has requested their fans and followers to come out at 9 PM and support PM Modi’s initiative.

Virat Kohli mentioned that the spirit of the country in its people just like the power of the stadium is in the fans who time and again fill it to watch matches. He felt that this is the time when India should show the world that they are together during this pandemic and have the ability to come out of it soon.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have done their bit as well donating hefty amounts to PM CARES and CM Relief Funds. While the Indian skipper, along with his wife Anushka Sharma, donated Rs 3 crore, his deputy gave away Rs 80 lakh to the different noble causes.
