Spurs duo Harry Kane and Matt Doherty play cricket ahead of The Hundred match at Lord’s

The captain of the England football team, Harry Kane was seen playing cricket ahead of the London Spirits versus Manchester Originals match at Lord’s. Kane, along with his Spurs teammate Matt Doherty participated in a six-hitting challenge as the spectators were delighted to see the duo play the sport.

The Hundred shared a video on Twitter where the striker was seen hitting big shots of the fultosses that were thrown at him. The 29-year-old was also part of the commentary set-up with former India head coach Ravi Shastri for a brief time.

The striker later shared a video on his Twitter handle stating that it was always his dream to walk out at Lord’s. The iconic stadium hosted many legends in the past and Kane and Doherty are the latest addition to the list. The RCB fan Harry Kane was also seen clicking pictures with Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler.

London Spirits defeated Manchester Originals by 52 runs in The Hundred

With back-to-back wins under their belt, London Spirits are now at the top of the points table. The Eoin Morgan-led side posted 160 runs in the first innings while the Manchester-based club was all-out for 108. Zak Crawley was the leading run-scorer for London with 41 off 34 balls. Jordan Thomson picked four to help the team win their 2nd match.

Kieron Pollard, who played his 600th T20 match on Monday scored a quick 34 off 11 balls. The Caribbean legend marked this special occasion with a remarkable innings under his belt. Speaking about playing 600 T20s, the 35-year-old said, “I never set out to play [600] games or to play this format for this period of time, but it’s something that came along and I’ve enjoyed it so far.”

Coming to Manchester Originals, the team is 7th in the points table after two straight defeats. Jos Buttler’s side is yet to register a win this season. Playing against Trent Rockets in the coming Saturday, the team will look forward to finding some sort of inspiration to bag their maiden win.
