It took India just about 4 sessions to wrap up both the innings of Sri Lanka in the 3rd and final Test at Pallekele and complete the whitewash. Sri Lanka resumed the day 3 at 19/1 and got bowled out for just 181 by Tea and conceded huge innings and 171-run win for India. The both sides will now be facing each other in the limited-overs leg starting next week.

Here we look at all the stats and records created during the day’s play.

3.5 – Virat Kohli’s win-loss ratio of 3.5 in Test cricket outside the home is the 3rd best for any captain. Only Douglas Jardine (6.0) and Don Bradman (5.0) have a better win/loss ratio as captain outside the home.

5 – India now has won their 5th consecutive Test against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka; the most consecutive wins vs SL in SL for any team. They broke the record streak of Australia, who won 4 in a row against Sri Lanka in SL between 2004 and 2011.
