The fondness that veteran cricket administrator N Srinivasan has for the former Indian captain MS Dhoni is very well known to many. Dhoni played for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League for the first 8 editions of the tournament. Now, it seems that the fondness of Srinivasan has made him the center of a new joke in Tamil Nadu.

Recently, there were massive income tax raids on the Sasikala clan in the state of Tamil Nadu. Many were tight lipped about the connections of N Srinivasan and MS Dhoni with these raids. It was expected that the name of the India Cements, the company of Srinivasan will get into the troubled waters again.

The rivals have apparently been using code words to mock Srinivasan recently. Multiple cabs in Tamil Nadu were seen having placards reading ‘Srini weds Mahi’ on the streets recently. The cabs were also numbered 1 to 300.

 Wish to retain MS Dhoni

N Srinivasan has never been shy in quoting MS Dhoni as the leader of his team. Recently, he was also reported to have spoken to Nita Ambani regarding the retention policy of the players in the IPL. He was very clear in stating that he wishes to have the services of Dhoni in his team for the upcoming editions of the coveted T20 competition.

His agenda was to convince the Mumbai Indians owner to retain players in the competition. There were rumors about all players heading in to the auction pool. If that would have been the case, it would have been very tough for N Srinivasan to retain his player player in the side. If he gets to retain Dhoni, the other teams would also get their chance to retain their superstars for the coming editions of the IPL. What happens in the actual tournament, remains to be seen.
