The premier tournament Champions Trophy, which is a battle between the top 8 nations for one trophy will begin in the month of June. The Tournament will succeed the Indian Premier League, the flagship Indian T20 League which starts in the month of April every year. It is the second most prestigious tournament in the shorter format of the cricket after World Cup.

The previous edition of the Tournament was hosted by England and Wales, and this edition too will be hosted by England. M S Dhoni guided the Indian team to a close victory over the hosts in the finals of the previous edition of the Champions Trophy. Shikhar Dhawan and Ravindra Jadeja were the shining light for the Men in Blue.

The advertisement focuses on the variety of people who will watch and support their favourite cricketing nation in the Champions Trophy. #ChampionsKaWorldCup is the campaign this year for the Champions Trophy.

The ad also focuses on the players who might make a difference in this year’s Champions Trophy, with the names ranging from Pakistan’s Mohammed Amir to Australia’s Steve Smith.

The ad’s jingle goes along the lines of “Har Koi Har Koi Dekhega” which is roughly translated to it will be seen by everyone ranging from a young girl to an old uncle. The passion for cricket drives Star Sports in the making of such advertisements. The ad also gives an account of the battle between the bowlers and batsmen, which is often seen in the International tournaments such as Champions Trophy.

For the first time in the history of Champions Trophy, West Indies have failed to qualify for the tournament as they finished 9th in the World ODI ranking. The advertisement ends with the words saying that there is not a single good team in the tournament but eight good teams who will compete for the title.

The hosts will also be careful of the threat posed by the other teams when they met in the previous edition of the Champions Trophy at the same venue.
