Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry continued their good form with a record unbeaten partnership for the Sydney Sixers in the WBBL game on Sunday. Playing against the Melbourne Stars at the WACA Stadium, the opening pair remained unbeaten throughout the 20 overs. Healy smashed 106 from 53 deliveries with 13 fours and four sixes while Perry scored 87 from 65 deliveries with 12 fours. The Sixers skipper, celebrating her 29th birthday, was pushed to anchor role due to Healy’s domination. The Stars finished on 154/6 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 45 runs.

All the statistical highlights from the record partnership by Sydney Sixers’ pair of Healy and Perry:

3 – Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry became only the 3rd known pair in Women’s T20 cricket to bat through full 20 overs without getting dismissed. Lizelle Lee and Dane van Niekerk helped South Africa finish on 163/0 in the 2014 WT20 game against Pakistan. Cheshire’s opening pair of Ellie Catherine Mason and Laura MacLeod put on an unbeaten 150-run stand in 20 overs during the 2016 Women’s T20 Cup against Hertfordshire. Healy-Perry also became only the 2nd pair to achieve this feat in T20 Leagues in Men’s or Women’s cricket. During the 2013 BPL game, Lou Vincent and Shahriar Nafees shared an unbeaten stand of 197 runs for Khulna Royal Bengals against Duronto Rajshahi.

3 – Alyssa Healy became the first player in the Big Bash history (Men/Women) to score three centuries. She scored 106 and 112* against Adelaide Strikers in the 2017/18 and 2018/18 seasons respectively. Grace Harris, Ellyse Perry and Lizelle Lee (2nd ton on Saturday) scored multiple tons in WBBL while Craig Simmons, Luke Wright and Usman Khawaja struck two centuries apiece in the Men’s competition.

4 – Alyssa became only the 4th player to hit four centuries in the Women’s T20 cricket. Going along with three WBBL tons, Healy struck an unbeaten 148 last month in a T20I against Sri Lanka. Danielle Wyatt leads the list of most centuries in Women’s T20 cricket with six tons while Suzie Bates also hit four hundreds. Lizelle Lee got her 4th T20 ton on Saturday also at the WACA.

199* – The unbeaten partnership of 199 between Healy and Perry is now the highest for any wicket in the WBBL. They surpassed the 156-run stand for the 2nd wicket by Melbourne Stars’ pair of Meg Lanning and Mignon du Preez against Adelaide Strikers in the 2015/16 season.

This is also the highest ever partnership in a BBL cross Men’s and Women’s competitions. The previous highest in Men’s BBL is 172 between Luke Wright and Rob Quiney by the opening pair of Melbourne Stars against Hobart Hurricanes in 2012.

199/0 – The Sydney Sixers’ total of 199/0 is the 4th highest total in the WBBL history and the 3rd highest for the Sydney Sixers. They recorded the highest WBBL total during the 2017/18 edition when they posted 242/4 against Melbourne Stars. Earlier, on the same day, Sydney Thunder recorded the first 200+ WBBL total as they finished exactly on 200/6 against Melbourne Renegades. During the 2018/18 season, the Sixers posted up a 206/1 against the Adelaide Strikers.
