While Misbah-ul-Haq has been one of Pakistan’s most charismatic leaders in recent times, his calmness has been the hallmark of some impressive and interesting captaincy. However, in spite of all this, the fact of the matter remains that Pakistan has won most of their tosses in the last two years in Test matches.

This also clearly points to the evidence that Misbah-ul-Haq, the captain of Pakistan has been practicing his ability with the coin toss, something that has come in handy for the most part. Having won 73 percent of his tosses, the Pakistan skipper has won 14 of the 19 tosses he has been a part of in Test matches in the last two years.

Their opponents on the day, the West Indies have been a tad bit unlucky in this regard when they have won just 11 of the 20 tosses they have been a part of. This would mean that Jason Holder, the young and the incumbent skipper of the West Indies side has a rather terrible time with the toss.

Interestingly, the winnings of the tosses are generally dominated by the likes of the Asian teams. With Pakistan at first position, they are followed by Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India. England has played the most number of Test matches in the last two years with 26. Yet, Alastair Cook has won just the 12 tosses.

New Zealand’s woes in the Indian subcontinent extended itself to a few more than just losses. Kane Williamson won just the one toss in the eight tosses he contested. He won one toss at the Devil’s lair of the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi. Australia and South Africa are the ones to follow the unlucky trail o toss losses.

Zimbabwe provides the final team on the list having clinched just the one toss win of the five tosses contested. This however, comes as little surprise given the scarcity of matches the African nation has played in recent times.
