In modern-day cricket, six hitting ability is considered a very valuable aspect for a batsman. It is not so easy to hit the ball across the boundary on the full. It requires some good timing to get the ball through. Although the power factor helps, it always doesn’t always ensure the desired result. Timing is the most crucial element batsmen bank upon to clear the boundary. Also, selecting the right ball to hit is critical.
In a one-day game, the last five overs can be game-changing. The batting team is on the prowl during these overs. The final output of the game might potentially depend on these five overs. Earlier, there weren’t any death over specialists to bowl towards the business end of the innings. But with the power game, big bats, and fielding restrictions coming in, it is of the utmost importance to contain the batting team in the last five overs.
