The winners of the inaugural season are known for giving a lot of chances to youngsters in their playing XI. Even this year, their squad is full of young, talented and exciting players. The U-19 sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal is expected to open the innings along with England’s Jos Buttler. The young and exceptional Sanju Samson would be showcasing his batting prowess at No.3 with the skipper Steve Smith following him and anchoring the innings at No.4.

The England all-rounder Ben Stokes would be following Steve Smith at No.5 and is expected to hold the innings together from one end. The finishing role will be taken up by the experienced Robin Uthappa and young Riyan Parag. Out of the 3 specialist wicketkeepers, Jos Buttler is expected to be behind the stumps. Riyan Parag will be the other all-rounder alongside Ben Stokes and Tom Curran.

In the absence of Jofra Archer, Tom Curran is expected to lead the pace attack. He can also swing the willow down the order. The spin department will be comprised of two wrist spinners in Shreyas Gopal and Mayank Markande. Apart from this, the pace attack will be completed by the Saurashtra pacer and Royals’ sweetheart Jaydev Unadkat.

Predicted Playing XI: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler(wk), Sanju Samson, Steve Smith(c), Ben Stokes, Robin Uthappa, Riyan Parag, Tom Curran, Mayank Markande, Shreyas Gopal, Jaydev Unadkat.
