Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play their 13th Match of the 14th IPL season against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side on 6th October 2021. Virat Kohli and his men have been excellent in the IPL this year, and are currently placed at third place in the points table, having emerged victorious in 8 out of their 12 matches.

In their previous match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), the RCB side beat their opposition by a slender margin of just 6 runs. Their opponents in their next match, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), have been totally clueless in the tournament, and are placed at the last spot, having won just 2 out of their 12 games.

The RCB side will be looking to post a win in the encounter against the ‘Orange Army’ to keep their hopes of finishing inside the top two alive. In this article, let us take a look at the predicted RCB playing XI for the match against SRH.

Openers: Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal

Both Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal have been in good form in IPL 2021 and have provided the RCB side with good starts at the top of the order. While Kohli has scored 357 runs at an average of 32.45 this year, Padikkal has plundered 349 runs at an average of 34.90 in the 2021 IPL season.

In RCB’s previous rubber against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), the Kohli-Padikkal duo put on a 68-run partnership for the opening wicket off 9.4 overs. Both these men will look to once again provide a solid start for their team when they take guard against the Sunrisers outfit.

Srikar Bharat has been impressive in the second leg of the IPL and has played handy cameos for his side with the willow in hand. The right-hander has scored 92 runs in the UAE leg so far and has scored his runs at an average of 30.67 and a strike rate of 117.95.

Glenn Maxwell has proven to be a match-winner for the RCB side this season. The Aussie has scored 3 half-centuries in his last 3 IPL innings, and the RCB side has ended up on the winning side every single time. AB de Villiers looked in decent touch in RCB’s previous match and scored an 18-ball 23. The South African has only scored a total of 50 runs in 5 innings in IPL Phase 2.
