Rashid Khan becomes the youngest man to top ICC Player Rankings
Rashid Khan, who won enjoyed a bumper 2017 ended the year by winning the ‘ICC Associate cricketer of the Year’ award. And following his recent exploits against Zimbabwe in the bilateral series, the youngster topped the rankings in both the shorter formats. With the feat, he became the youngest man at 7092 days of age and only the second youngest player ever behind Caribbean women cricketer Stefanie Taylor to top the ICC Player Rankings.
Rashid was extremely clinical in their recently concluded series against Zimbabwe. He picked five wickets in the two-match T20I series to help Afghanistan sweep 2-0 and eventually ended the series as the highest wicket-taker, claiming a remarkable haul of 16 wickets.
