Twitter Reactions: Superman, Gary! Nathan Lyon takes a screamer at Adelaide

Australian spinner Nathan Lyon is living up to his social media nickname ‘GOAT’, as took a spectacular catch off his own bowling to dismiss England all-rounder Moeen Ali in Adelaide. The Englishmen are currently struggling to bat out sessions, and finds themselves seven wickets down at the moment. Joe Root’s men are at 166/7, as the Aussie bowlers have been on fire since morning.

Lyon flighted the ball to Moeen, as the batter chipped it up in the air almost safe from the bowler. But it was an outstanding effort from the spinner to get hold of the ball, adding more misery to the England side. Ahead of the Ashes, Lyon scalped 46 wickets from seven Tests and that must have given him immense amount of confidence.

He is already the most successful off-spinner in Australia and the way he is moving up, he is certain to dominate worldwide. Nathan had said that he will be going out to end careers. He took a shot at former England wicketkeeper Matt Prior by saying “We knew Matt Prior wanted to fly home before the (third) game started. He was scared four years ago. I think he’s all right now.”

Prior replied to the ‘trash talk’ by saying “Last time someone spouted a whole load of BS about me I stayed quiet not this time.To be clear I may have been playing badly fair enough but there was no way I was getting on a plane home. You’ve embarrassed yourself @NathLyon421 & this game has a funny way of biting back.”

He added “I sincerely hope you’re not part of a losing @CricketAus team on home soil @NathLyon421. I still remember being sat on the outfield at the SCG after winning 3-1 while your press&fans were tearing into the Oz players. You want to end careers? Just make sure its not yours that ends”
