South African speedster Morne Morkel recently retired from all forms of the game. He played his final Test at the Wanderers, in Johannesburg. Team South Africa registered an emphatic win in the match and it was the perfect sendoff for Morkel. The good wishes have come in flooding for the lanky speedster. Now, veteran Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has joined the list of well-wishers who have tweeted for Morne Morkel.
Suresh Raina took to micro blogging site Twitter to congratulate Morne Morkel on a very successful career. He hailed Morkel as a very talented bowler. Also, he tried to be a little cheeky in his tweet as he compared the successful career of the South African to his height. The southpaw wished Morkel all the luck for his future endeavors as well. Furthermore, Raina noted that it was the perfect sendoff for someone like Morkel. Earlier, even Rohit Sharma had sent his good wishes for Morne Morkel.
In the match, South Africa thumped Australia by a margin of 492 runs. This is the second worst defeat for Australia in terms of terms in the Test cricket. Also, with the win, South Africa sealed the series 3-1. This is the first series win for South Africa over Australia ever since the former’s reinstatement to world cricket in 1991-92.
Here is what Suresh Raina tweeted:
“A perfect send-off for a man who deserved every bit of it. Congratulations, @mornemorkel65, on a career greater in height than you. Wishing you tons of luck for your second innings,” Suresh Raina wrote in his tweet.
