1. Vidarbha win their third consecutive match
Bengal won the toss and batted first. They got a start courtesy to the 98-run partnership between the openers SS Mandal (52 from 38 balls) and Abhishek Das (56 from 52 balls). But, after the fall of the openers, the Vidarbha bowlers came back strongly and managed to choke them for just 147. It was a highly commendable job as at one stage, Bengal was 116 after the end of 16 overs. The chase for Vidarbha was shaky as they were at 20/2. But opener Y Fazal (49 from 44 balls) and V Wankhede (33 from 26 balls) stabilized the chase and K Karnewar gave the finishing touch with his 10-ball 18-run cameo.
Brief scores:
Bengal: 147/5 in 20 overs (Abhishek Das 56; Karnewar 2/26)
Vidarbha: 147 in 19.1 overs (Fazal 49; M Kumar 2/23)
2. Tamil Nadu thrash Gujarat to top Group A
Gujarat batted very inconsistently and could only muster 105 runs in 19.4 overs. Their batsmen departed one after the other and there was not a single Gujarat batsman who looked comfortable except Raxlee Taylor who made 44 runs off 38 balls. In reply, Tamil Nadu only lost Dinesh Karthik as Abhinav Mukund (67 from 36 balls) and B Aparajith (30 from 31 balls) safely guided them to a 9-wicket victory.
Brief Scores:
Gujarat: 105/9 in 20 overs (Raxlee Taylor 44; Anthony Das 3/19)
Tamil Nadu: 111/1 in 12.5 overs (Abhinav Mukund 67; RP Singh 1/23)
3. Jharkhand dominates Jammu & Kashmir
Jharkhand made most of the opportunity given by J&K who put them to bat after winning the toss. Shasheem (50 from 41 balls) Sumit Kumar (39) batted well and took Jharkhand to a comfortable position. Saurabh Tiwary came at the right time and smacked a 30-ball 57 to post a commanding target of 180 runs for J&K to chase. In reply, J&K were simply not good enough to match the immaculate bowling of Jharkhand and were bowled for 103. Ian Chauhan (67 from 62 balls) was the only batsman who batted with some resistance.
Brief Scores:
Jharkhand: 179/4 in 20 overs (Shasheem 50; Rahil Singh 2/43)

4. Goa surrenders to Railways
Railways spinners Karn Sharma (4/24) and Ranjeet Mali (5/24) together shared all the accolades as the bowled out Goa for 116 in reply to their target of 166. There was no real show of intent while chasing the target as Goa batsmen had no answer to the sharp bowling of Karn Sharma and Ranjeet Mali. Sharma registered his 1st five-wicket haul in T20 cricket. Earlier batting first, Railways out up 165 on the scoreboard.

Umang Sharma (47 from 32 balls) and other significant contributions from the top order helped Uttar Pradesh scale down the decent target put up by Mumbai. Mumbai, batting first managed 164/6 in 20 overs with the help of Shreyas Iyer (78 in 43 balls) splendid innings. However, Mumbai bowlers failed to contain the Uttar Pradesh batsmen, who despite losing wickets frequently managed to overhaul the target.

A Half-century by Nakul Verma (63 from 39) and handy contributions from the tail-enders ensured that Services chase the challenging target of 177 set by Odisha. Services openers Nakul Sharma and Aanshul Gupta gave the best possible start to chase by stitching a 107 runs partnership for the first wicket. There was a small slump in the middle after Sumit, Yashpal Singh and Rajat Paliwal were dismissed in short successions. But, this couldn’t affect the outcome. Earlier, Odisha backed Abhishek Yadav (52 from 33 balls) and Govinda Poddar (42 from 24 balls) posted 176 on the scoreboard.

Himachal crawled past the small target of 122 set by Haryana after being put into bat by Himachal. Both the teams batted in a similar fashion as they kept losing their wicket consistently. However, Himachal was the luckier side today. Haryana, with the help of M Dagar’s (39) run a ball half-century, managed a functional total on the scoreboard. However, Assam batting line-up failed miserably and weren’t able to overcome the simple challenge put for the by Andhra as they were all out by the last over and could only manage 105. Syed Mohammad (42 from 38 balls) and Amit Verma (22 from 16 balls) did raise some hope but it was not enough in the end.
