The second season of the T10 League in Sharjah has brought some explosive cricketers together. A total of eight teams are fighting it out for the glory at the moment. Meanwhile, in one of the double-headers on Friday, the Maratha Arabians managed to get two points on the board with a clinical win over the Bengal Tigers. Hazratullah Zazai was the hero for them with the bat as he has got a special gift from the skipper Dwayne Bravo for playing a special knock.
Chasin the meagre total of 92 runs in 10 overs, the Arabians opened with Zazai and Alex Hales. But the latter couldn’t get going like the first game and played second fiddle to his partner who was going berserk from the word go. The Afghan sensation was absolutely brutal on the day as he brought his explosive game to the fore. He played well against every opposition bowler to dominate the opening partnership of 91 runs in eight overs.
He smashed 76 runs off just 35 balls with as many as 10 fours and four massive maximums. With just one run needed, Hazratullah was sent back by Zaheer Khan.
Bravo keeps his promise
Delighted with his knock Dwayne Bravo was all praise of the Afghanistan youngster. He had promised the opening batsman to gift one of his bats if he manages to score a fifty in the game. Hazratullah took up the challenge and completely bamboozled the opposition with his blitzkrieg.
After the game, Bravo kept his promise and gifted his bat to him. He informed the same to his followers on his official Instagram handle by posting a picture with the talented batsman and captioned it as, “What a knock!!!! From this special talent #HazratullahZazai i said to him if you score 50 I will give u one of my bats. #champion #DoneWar.”
Bravo will hope for Zazai to continue playing more such big knocks in the tournament and win the title for the Maratha Arabians.
