Lancashire batter Liam Livingstone hit a huge six in the game against Yorkshire in the ongoing T20 Blast 2022 and it sailed a long way. The all-rounder, who played for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2022 recently, held the record for the longest six in the season with a 117-metre hit and he has been doing it for fun on a regular basis. He certainly is making the boundary ropes look quite short with some gigantic hits around the world.

The official Twitter handle of Vitality Blast posted a video of the massive six from Livingstone as it went far into the skies and the right-hander was quite amazed by it as well. The commentators were in awe of the six from him and reminded the viewers of the IPL six which proved to be the longest of the season. However, Livingstone couldn’t entertain the crowd much as he was dismissed after a 16-ball 23 that included two fours and a six.

“That. Is. Huge. @liaml4893 #Blast22 #RosesT20,” Vitality Blast captioned on Twitter. The ball supposedly went out of the stadium as it left many stunned.

A thrilling tie

As far as the match is concerned, after winning the toss and batting first, Lancashire got to a good score of 183 for 7 in their 20 overs on the back of Phil Salt’s 41-ball 59 and Tim David’s 18-ball 35. Haris Rauf and Jordan Thompson were the pick of the bowlers for Yorkshire as the duo picked up two wickets each while Revis and Adil Rashid scalped one each.

In reply, Yorkshire managed to tie the game by scoring the same 183 for 5 in their 20 overs, thanks to half-centuries from Tom Kohler-Cadmore (67) and Harry Brook (72) which set up the chase really well. Big names like Dawid Malan and Joe Root could not get going while Luke Wood managed to pick up two wickets for Lancashire in the bowling department.

It was a thrilling game that went right down to the wire and more games are expected of the same kind in the coming days as well in the tournament with a lot of star players turning up.
