North Mumbai Panthers will be looking to get back to winning ways when they lock horns against Aakash Tigers MWS on Monday. The Panthers’ winning run starts to the season came to an end on Sunday as they have now two wins and one loss from the first opening three games. On the other hand, Tigers will be desperate to turn their season around after losing their last two games.

Panthers suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of ARCS Andheri. An average batting show from the side including from their star skipper Prithvi Shaw saw them score 160 for 7 in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, Andheri rode on Shubham Ranjane’s unbeaten half-century to chase down the total with six wickets in hand and two balls to spare.

Aakash Tigers MWS have lost two of their last three games after making a winning start to the competition. In their last outing, they ended up on the losing side against SoBo SuperSonics. The Tigers had a good chance to get back to winning ways after restricting SuperSonics to a modest 143. However, the batsmen failed to deliver as Tigers ended their innings on 133 for 7.

So far, most of the teams have scored close to or more than 150 runs on the Wankhede pitch. Unlike the recent times, the venue has not witnessed very high scoring games but one still expects something around 150 or above it from the team batting first.

It will be a sunny Monday in Mumbai as both the teams will face no interruptions from the rain god when they take the field for the first game of the day. As far as the temperature is concerned, it would be around 34-degree Celsius at the start and will drop by 1 or 2 degrees as the game progresses.

The Panthers might have lost their last game but they are unlikely to change their playing eleven after just one loss. Their skipper Prithvi Shaw will be looking to bounce back after scoring just 14 in his previous outing while Vikrant Auti will be eyeing another impressive performance. For the Tigers, they look likely to drop Siddharth Akre who scored 10 from 15 in his previous outing. Ajay Pandey is likely to replace him in the eleven.
