Shivaji Park Lions will take the field for the first in the T20 Mumbai League 2019 on the 4th day of the tournament. As many as five teams have already played two matches apiece while Shivaji Park is yet to play one. The runners up of the last season will take on the Arcs Andheri on Friday afternoon. The Shivaji Park Lions fell four runs short of the inaugural title by four runs despite Shivam Dube’s heroics.
The Arcs Andheri, on the other hand, have finally ended their losing streak in the T20 Mumbai. After winning the first game in the 2018 edition, Andheri lost four in a row and added one more defeat to their tally losing to the Sobo Supersonics on day 1. However, the last ball victory against the NaMo Bandra Blasters might have settled down the nerves of the Andheri franchise.
The 7th match of the T20 Mumbai League 2019 will be played between Shivaji Park Lions and Arcs Andheri at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The match starts at 3:30 PM local time (IST) (10:00 AM GMT).
The game will be live on Star Sports 2, Star Sports 2 HD and Star Sports 3. Live streaming available on Hotstar.
The afternoon games have witnessed uneven scores. The pitches have either slowed down as the game progresses or became better for batting after the initial stickiness.

(Will be added when there is an update)
Shivam Dube’s exploits in the first season of T20 Mumbai speak for itself. The all-rounder scored 213 runs at an average of 71 and finished as the 4th highest run-getter. With the ball, Dube ended up as the joint leading wicket-taker with 12 wickets. The IPL debacle might have lowered the youngster’s confidence.
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
Shivam Dube becomes an obvious choice as captain or vice-captain due to his last season’s performances. The Andheri openers Akhil Herwadkar and Sufiyan Shaikh are good choices for these roles. Shubham Ranjane, Azhar Ansari, Siddhesh Lad and Gaurav Jathar are ideal alternatives as multipliers.
Suggested Playing XI for Head to Head/Small Leagues:
Keeper – Hardik Tamore
Batsmen – Akhil Herwadkar, Pankaj Jaiswal, Siddhesh Lad, Swapnil Pradhan,
All-Rounders – Gaurav Jathar, Shubham Ranjane (VC), Shivam Dube (C)
Bowlers – Shivam Malhotra, Azhar Ansari, Jai Kothari
Suggested Playing XI for Grand Leagues/Mega Leagues:
Keeper – Sufiyan Shaikh (VC)
Batsmen – Kevin Almeida, Pankaj Jaiswal, Siddhesh Lad, Swapnil Pradhan
All-Rounders – Tanush Kotian, Shubham Ranjane, Shivam Dube (VC)
Bowlers – Azhar Ansari, Vijay Gohil, Tushar Deshpande
Dube, Lad and Herwadkar collectively cost 31 credits and are crucial names from this game. Picking all three would leave you with an option to take Sufiyan and Deshpande who are worth 9 credits. Lad is the only weak link among players with 10+ credits as he might be flexible and don’t get enough batting.
Shivaji Park Lions will be hoping to make a winning start to their T20 Mumbai 2019 campaign.
